Nate Marquardt kept his career alive in the UFC in his last fight, snapping a two-fight losing streak when he knocked CB Dollaway out at UFC on Fox 17 on Dec. 19, and he’s now got his next booking.
Marquardt will take on Thiago Santos on the UFC’s May 14 event in Brazil, with Santos Tweeting out that he’d officially signed his contract for the bout on Thursday.

Santos lost two of his first three fights in the UFC, but has rattled off three straight since, including a nasty highlight-reel head kick KO over Steve Bosse last June. He most recently defeated Elias Theodorou in December.
The UFC’s May 14 event in Brazil was initially planned as a Fight Night card for Fox Sports 1, but it’s now reportedly going to serve as UFC 198 on pay-per-view.
