UFC on Fox 31 has a main event, and it is a lightweight showdown.
As first reported by the Milwaukie Journal Sentinel, Kevin Lee will take on Al Iaquinta in the main event of UFC on Fox 31, from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukie, on December 15.
Both men are recent challengers for the lightweight title.
In April, as a late replacement, Al Iaquinta faced Khabib Nurmagomedov for the then-vacant lightweight title at UFC 225 after Max Holloway and Tony Ferguson were forced to withdraw from the event.
In October of 2017, Lee lost in his bid for the interim lightweight title, when he was submitted by Tony Ferguson in the main event of UFC 216. However, in April Lee bounced back with a TKO victory over Edson Barboza.
After the initial report of the fight surfaced, the UFC confirmed the booking via Twitter:
