One of UFC’s greatest fights will be run back one more time at the end of the year.

ESPN’s Ariel Helwani broke the news this afternoon that Jon Jones will fight Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232 on Dec. 29 from Las Vegas. The fight will also be for the light heavyweight championship currently held by Daniel Cormier. Cormier will be officially stripped as of the commencement of the Jones-Gustafsson fight.

The fight is a rematch of their five-round classic from UFC 165 from Toronto in 2013. Jones won a close decision in that fight but many fans and observers gave Gustafsson the nod.

Jones has been serving a USADA suspension but he will be cleared to fight later this month.

Fans have been clamoring for a rematch since the end of their first fight, but Jones was often dismissive of Gustafsson, frequently refusing to acknowledge the swede by name.

UFC 232 will also feature a featherweight championship bout between champion Cris Cyborg and bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.

The last few months of 2018 are certainly shaping up to be an exciting time to be a UFC fan.
