Bellator MMA will be running at least one joint MMA/kickboxing event once again in 2016, announcing on Friday that they’re partnering with Italy-based Oktagon Kickboxing for an April 16 event in Torino, Italy.

The event, much like September’s “Dynamite 1” card, will feature MMA and kickboxing bouts, with the Bellator portion of the card airing on Spike in the U.S.

Additionally, Bellator announced the signing of UFC vet and Italian native Alessio Sakara, who is expected to make his debut on the card.

“We are very excited to be working side by side with my friend Carlo Di Blasi and his team,” said Bellator President Scott Coker. “Carlo is a great ally, and someone who I admire for all of the amazing work he has done in combat sports throughout Europe over the past twenty years. We look forward to putting on an amazing show for the Italian people, and fans tuning in from around the world when we combine our efforts on April 16 in Torino.”

The 34-year-old Sakara spent eight years in the UFC from 2005-2013, posting a 6-7-1 mark in the Octagon. That run included four straight losses before his release, though he enters Bellator off a first round TKO win in his last outing in September in Austria.
