The UFC makes a stop at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas for UFC Fight Night 126. The main event takes place in the welterweight division where Donald Cerrone takes on Yancy Medeiros in what should be an exciting bout.
After winning four straight, Cerrone limps into this fight the loser of his last three fights. While his decision loss to Robbie Lawler at UFC 214 was a close, competitive fight, the losses to Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal were one sided affairs. Yancy Medeiros on the other hand enters the fight riding a three-fight winning streak. All three wins were finishes. His most recent fight was a third round TKO of Alez Oliveira at UFC 218.
The co-main event features a battle of heavyweights when Derrick Lewis goes up against Marcin Tybura. Lewis suffered a TKO loss at the hands Mark Hunt at UFC Fight Night 110 his last time in the cage. It was a surprising outcome considering Lewis came into the fight riding a six-fight win streak. Poland’s own Marcin Tybura also dropped his last contest, losing to Fabricio Werdum by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 121.
The six-fight main card also includes fast rising James Vick against Francisco Trinaldo, Thiago Alves vs. Curtis Millender, Brandon Davis takes on Steven Peterson and Sage Northcutt goes up against Thibault Gouti.
The early prelims will air on Fight Pass starting at 5 PM CT, with Fox Sports 1 taking over at 6 PM CT for the prelims. Keep it on FS1 for the main card starting at 8 PM CT.
