Anthony Hamilton retires
If you watched the prelims for UFC Fight Night 116 this past weekend you saw Anthony Hamilton compete for the final time. Hamilton competed from 2010-2017 and walks away with a 15-8 professional record, and a 3-6 record in the UFC. After suffering what was his third straight first round stoppage loss, Hamilton announced on social media that he had competed for the final time, and thanked his friends, family and coaches for helping him through-out his career.
Taylor denies steroid use
Jesse Taylor has had an up and down career so far in MMA. His first shot at the big time was on the ultimate fighter nearly a decade ago, and though he made the finals, his immaturity eventually took the chance away from him before he ever stepped foot into a UFC cage. Though he would later be given a shot, an eventual loss in that fight sent him back to the regionals where he has been ever since. That is until he returned on the Ultimate Fighter: Redemption, and won the show, finally earning his spot in the UFC. Jose Aldo set to rematch Ricardo Lamas?
A rematch between Jose Aldo and Ricardo Lamas is reportedly set for an upcoming December card. The two originally fought for the Featherweight Championship back in 2014, and Aldo managed to walk away the victor. The two are in very different places in their careers now so it could be interesting to see how the fight goes down this time around.
