Jimi Manuwa and David Haye agree to fight

David Haye and Jimi Manuwa have again agreed to a fight. They want the date to be sometime in early 2018. Haye has made it clear that he plans to fight Tony Bellow before committing to a fight with Manuwa. It seems like both men are interested in making this boxing match happen.

Ben Askren wants match making role

Ben Askren is currently scheduled to have his final fight at an upcoming One Championship event against Asian MMA superstar Shinya Aoki. But Ben Askren doesn’t expect his relationship with One to end simply because he is retiring from fighting. Askren wants to add match maker to his resume, and wants to do it for One Championship.

Cole’s Analysis: This seems like a logical next move for Askren, and one that I hope he can make.

Yushin Okami in for Shogun Rua, will face OSP in Japan

Okami was cut in 2013 and has fought all over since then. He is currently riding a four fight win streak, but will have a tall order ahead when he faces Ovince St. Preux in a light heavyweight fight.

Cole’s Analysis: If I was to create a list of 100 fighters who I thought were likely to return to the UFC, Yushin Okami wouldn’t be anywhere near it, but still he is returning to the UFC anyway.
