Kelvin Gastelum is off UFC 205 due to not cutting enough weight. His opponent, Donald Cerrone, will instead fight next month, likely against Matt Brown.
Gastelum wrote on Twitter: “I will not be facing [Donald Cerrone] tomorrow on account that I couldn’t make the [weight] limit. I apologize [to] Cowboy, [you’re] a legend. God bless,” Gastelum wrote. “I’m sorry to my team, my friends and the [people] that genuinely care for me. Extremely dissapointed that I will have to reevaluate things in my life.

No one is perfect. We all have bad days but I promise it will not happen again. I will comeback stronger like I have before. Until next time

Keller’s Analysis: This line-up is deep enough to lose a few fights and still be great. Since he was already a replacement for Robbie Lawler, this is less of a blow to the original line-up than if people had still been looking forward to Cerrone vs. Lawler at this late stage. The line “No one is perfect” is so lame, by the way. It doesn’t sound like someone owning how irresponsible and unprofessional this is. Calls for UFC to him are already populating Twitter.
