Alonzo Menifield vs Carlos Ulberg
Menifield looks to extend his 2 fight win streak, I’m not sure he’ll do it here but fights have to be made. Both men are looking to secure better standings. Carlos Ulberg is seeking to be ranked white Menifield is looking to leapfrog Anthony Smith.
Ulberg has only one loss in 11 fights so he will be a tough out. It’s likely someone will be KO’d in this one.
Joaquin Buckley vs Nursulton Ruziboev
There ar some fighters you just really elwant to see be successful, a 3 fight win streak for Buckley is surely that. He’s just the kinda guy you root for ya know. It’s not going to be easy. Ruziboev hasn’t lost since 2019! A veteran with an impressive resume. He can do it all and he will be the biggest test Buckley has faced so far.
Nursulton has 20 wins by submission, going to the ground is a death sentence. Standing up may make Buckley the 13th ko of Ruziboev’s career. 6 of his 8 losses are via decision so there is no finishing him. How do you beat this guy?! My money has to be on Ruziboev, I pick veterans over newer guys. Still, no way I’m rooting against Buckley.
Derrick Lewis vs Rodrigo Nascimento
Nascimento is on a 3 fight win streak but he ain’t getting no damn submission against Lewis. Lewis won’t play his game, looking to knock him out sooner rather than later.
Lewis has lost 4 of his last 5 fights, he desperately needs a win. So expect him to switch things up, show us what he’s been working on but more importantly, stick to what’s got him this far when the time comes.
Final take
The last 3 fights are the best match ups on the card, it is what it is. It’s a decent card to hold fans over until UFC 301 I suppose. I’m not in the business of hating on cards, some just deserve it, not this one though. There are some names here, should be a fun night with a happy ending.
