UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Tuivasa was yesterday. Who won their fights?
Let’s get to the rundown.

UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Tuivasa
GOOD- Charles Jourdain vs. Nathaniel Wood
They start off striking before Wood gets a takedown. Not a lot happens
until Jourdain stands up. Low blow to Jourdain, who recovers fairly
quickly. Wood staggers Jourdain with a big right hand. Jourdain
attacks the body until Wood backs up off and the first round ends. The
second round begins with Wood getting a takedown but Jourdain is up
quickly. Jourdain attacks the body again but gets taken down again.
Nothing happens so they get stood up. Then they each get trip
takedowns but nothing happens with either and the round ends. The
third round sees Wood get another takedown but nothing comes of it.
They trade strikes a bit more then the fight ends. Woods wins the
decision and improves to 19-5 while Jourdain drops to 13-6-1. Good win
for Wood.

GOOD- Jarno Errens vs. William Gomis
Not much happened in the first round. Gomis got a takedown but
couldn’t do anything with it. Then the round ended. Yuck. The second
round sees Errens hurt Gomis with a big right hand but Gomis gets a
takedown and recovers. They stand but Gomis fights for another
takedown and finally gets it. They get up again and scramble around,
with Gomis on top. The third round opens with them trading strikes
before Gomis gets another takedown and has to avoid a Errens
submission attempt. He does and we go to the decision. Gomis wins by
Majority Decision and improves to 11-2 while Errens drops to 13-4-1.
Good win for Gomis.

GOOD- Roman Kopylov stops Alessio Di Chirico
They trade strikes in the first round but nothing significant happens.
Di Chirico starts to open up his striking and begins landing some hard
strikes. Kopylov attacks back with kicks to the body and the second
round ends. The third round sees Kopylov attack the body with a kick
before finishing Di Chirico with a series of punches a little over a
minute into the third round. Kopylov improves to 9-2 while Dr Chirico
drops to 13-7. Good win for Kopylov.

GOOD- Joaquin Buckley vs. Nassourdine Imavov
They trade strikes early, with a front kick from Imavov knocking out
Buckley’s mouthpiece. Imavov later got a trip takedown but nothing
came of it. The second round sees more striking between the two until
Imavov gets a takedown. Imavov tries for the submission but he can’t
get the finish and the round ends. The third round opens with Buckley
landing a few big strikes, prompting Imavov to take him down again.
Buckley quickly gets back up, though. More heavy striking from Buckley
but he can’t get a finish so we go to a decision. Imavov wins the
decision and improves to 12-3 and has won 3 straight fights while
Buckley drops to 15-5 and has his 3 fight winning streak snapped. Good
win for Imavov.

GOOD- Robert Whittaker vs. Marvin Vettori
Whittaker opens with some leg kicks and they trade some jabs but
that’s about it in a tentative first round. The second round opens
with Whittaker nailing a front kick to Vettori’s stomach. Whittaker
keeps throwing head kicks. They’re getting blocked but they’re doing
some damage. He’s hitting Vettori with some stuff but nothing major.
The third round sees them trade strikes for a while until Whittaker
opens up and starts blasting Vettori. He can’t stop him, though, but
he gets a takedown near the end of the round and takes the clear
decision. Whittaker improves to 24-6 while Vettori drops to 18-6-1.
Good win for Whittaker.

GOOD- Ciryl Gane stops Tai Tuivasa
We get a boring first round as they look for their timing and range.
The second round opens with Gane hitting more kicks and jabs. However,
Tuivasa drops Gane with a big right hand. Gane eats another one as he
gets up but fights on. Two huge kicks to the body from Gane have
Tuivasa hurt. Tuivasa fires back with a big punch that backs off Gane
and the round ends. The third round opens with more big body kicks
from Gane that hurt Tuivasa. Gane hurts him more with a head kick but
Tuivasa fires back. A front kick from Gane has Tuivasa reeling and
Gane pours on three more kicks to the body. A right hand from Gane
nearly finishes it and a few more punches (including a hammerfist to
the back of the head) and it’s over. Gane improves to 11-1 while
Tuivasa drops to 14-4 and has his 5 fight winning streak snapped. Good
win for Gane.

My new fantasy book is now out. It’s called Kingdom of Zarias: The Steep
Price of Revenge
. It’s the second book in my epic fantasy Kingdom
of Zarias series and follows the adventures of the Summers siblings as
they seek revenge for the wrongs inflicted on them. This book also
introduces lots of other characters as the scope of the world
continues to expand. There’s lots of action, magic, and monsters in
the Kingdom of Zarias. It’s like a tabletop game in novel form. It’s
on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many other places. If you’re
interested, I would greatly appreciate it if you would check it out
and support me. Also, here’s the link to my new Compendium book about
