Tonight, Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson will fight in a stawweight showdown at UFC Tampa. Who wins?
Who wins between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson?

I’ll go with Waterson. I’m a big fan of both fighters but I think Waterson pulls it off. I think she uses her grappling and striking together to edge just enough of the exchanges to get the decision win. I think this is a really close fight, maybe even a split decision, but that Waterson gets the nod from the judges.

With the weight cut drama behind us, we have quite the interesting fight here. Michelle Waterson has put together some quality wins, is “marketable” (read: attractive) and is all but guaranteed a title shot with a win. Unfortunately, she has to face Joanna Jedrzejczyk, a high volume striker who is tough to beat. The only question about this fight is is Joanna depleted enough from the weight cut where Waterson can capitalize and steal a win. I’m getting on no and taking Joanna by decision.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk is too much for most women in MMA, Michelle Waterson is no different, I believe. Michelle Waterson needs a big win like this to be considered a legitimate title contender but I don’t believe she will win. Joanna has fought much tougher and more skilled opponents, being a veteran with a fight with Valentina Shevchenko goes a looooong way. The key question is where will these two ladies be after this fight; a loss for Joanna won’t hurt her too much because she is still a great fighter but I believe Waterson would have too much trouble gaining any momentum to get a big fight like this again if she fails to get the victory.
