Tonight, Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens will fight at UFC Mexico City, who will win?
Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens predictions.
Frank Hyden MMATorch Columnist
I’ll go with Rodriguez by decision in a war of attrition. I think every round will be close and that Rodriguez will get a late takedown or flurry to get the point from the judges. I think this fight will have some fun and exciting moments but also some tedious moments as the war of wills happens. Both men are really tough so that’s why I’m not predicting a finish but instead a decision for Rodriguez.

Hopefully it’s not Jeremy Stephens, he does almost nothing with the momentum from his wins. Yair Rodriguez would actually benefit the most, and I believe that is why he will win. I don’t know what Stephens’ motivation is anymore other than to not be washed up and overrated like everyone calls him, that’s not enough. Stephens definitely has the skill but I will always question his motives.

I really like this fight. Regardless of who wins, this should be a really fun fight. With that said, I am going to go with Rodriguez here. I believe Rodriquez will be able to utilize his legs to keep Stephens at a manageable distance, before getting a late KO.
