Former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till has been arrested in Spain for allegedly trashing a hotel room, according to a report from El Dia. The report states that Till and five accomplices damaged furniture and let off fire extinguishers in a hotel in the Costa Adeje region of Spain.
Till is also alleged to have stolen a taxi after the incident in the hotel. When the taxi driver was putting bags into the back of the cab, Till and another individual got into the car and drove it to the La Caleta area. At that point, National Police caught up with Till and he was arrested.
The details of the specific charges against Till or his accomplices have not been identified.
Till most recently lost a second-round knockout to Jorge Masvidal in a headlining bout in London. Prior to that, he submitted to Tyron Woodley in a welterweight championship bout at UFC 228. Neither Till nor UFC has commented publicly on the arrest or the allegations.
