Single and ready to mingle
After knocking out TJ Dillashaw Saturday night, Henry Cejudo has his sights on more than Dillashaw’s bantamweight championship – he’s looking to get some personal time with WWE’s Nikki Bella. After sharing a flight with Bella and her twin sister Brie a couple of weeks ago, Cejudo told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani about his romantic hopes.
“Nikki Bella’s been like my biggest crush,” Cejudo said on the Ariel Helwani MMA Show. “I was sitting next to her and I’m thinking ‘how am I going to approach this?’
What he did was he used his niece’s fandom of Bella to create the opening to start the conversation. The flight ended with a nice photo-op between Cejudo and the twins, but Cejudo wants to bring things to a new level.

Playing matchmaker, Helwani put the clip out to Bella, and she responded very positively.
Dear Nikki Bella of the @BellaTwins. My friend @HenryCejudo, Olympic Gold Medalist and UFC flyweight savior, would like to get to know you, like, more than a friend. ❤️❤️❤️

Oh my word.@HenryCejudo: I hope you’re sitting down.
Nikki Bella of The @BellaTwins saw your interview on my show yesterday and sent you this! First you save the flyweights and now this?! What a time to be Henry Cejudo.

“What up, Henry?” Bella asked in a video sent to Helwani. “So I just saw your interview on Ariel’s podcast. Um, wow. Thank you very much. I want to say, first of all, congrats on your really big win. I would like to think that, you know, maybe possibly I was a good luck charm, meeting you on the flight. And I’m hoping maybe one day in Arizona you can train me before I get back into that ring. I think you have a few moves that you know you can show me that, you know, can really take it to the women. And, hey, I mean, I know you’re cutting weight and all, but maybe one day we could grab a drink or, I don’t know, I really should send you a bottle of Bella Vidici wine for your big victory. So I’ll do that.”
Ready to pounce on the opportunity, Cejudo responded with a video of his own. Cejudo had the following to say while having some sort of grooming done on his face. “What up, Nikki Bella? I’m getting ready for you. If you like moves, I heard you want to learn some moves. I got moves that’ll knock you off your feet, so I hope you’re ready for that.”
Ok, business is really picking up here. Ol’ flyweight savior, the Olympic Gold medalist @HenryCejudo has responded to Nikki Bella (@BellaTwins) and is out here just shooting shots. (He’s playing it cool. He was freaking earlier). Incredible magic going on here. #HelwaniShow ❤️ pic.twitter.com/ZRa9a0sxmo
