Cyborg Injured?

Twitter user ZombieProphet shared a video today of Cris Cyborg jumping out of a shopping cart and landing flat on a parking lot in what is called an “In My Feelings” challenge. ZombieProphet claims that Cyborg may be injured and her UFC 232 fight with Amanda Nunes may be in jeopardy. Neither UFC or Cyborg have commented publicly on the video and attempts to reach out to Cyborg’s management for comment were not immediately responded to.

Gustafsson ready for Jones fight

Alexander Gustafsson has spent the last five years preparing himself for a rematch with Jon Jones and it is finally about to come to fruition. Speaking to MMAJunkie recently, Gustafsson said that the opportunity to have a rematch with Jones is more important than winning the UFC light heavyweight championship.

“Fighting Jon Jones again, and it’s been five years since we fought – it’s the fight I’ve been wanting for a long time and dreaming about and training for all this time,” he said. “All this time, I’ve been training for this fight. This is it. I’m preparing for him. Every session, I’ve prepared for him. That’s the best guy out there, and that’s the guy I’m beating.”

Gustafsson also said that the era of Jon Jones dominating the light heavyweight division is done.

“At the end of the day, it all comes down to who wants it more,” he said. “I’m just the guy for him. The Jon Era is over. The Jon Era is over, I’m here to take that over and I’m here to beat him, once and for all.”

Gegard Mousasi out of Lovato fight

Gegard Mousasi has been forced to pull out of his scheduled title defense against Rafael Lovato Jr. at Bellator 214 next month. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani has reported that a back injury has sidelined Mousasi for an undetermined amount of time. Bellator has yet to decide if Lovato Jr. will remain on the card. Bellator 214 will be headlined by Ryan Bader taking on Fedor Emelianenko in the finals of the heavyweight grand prix tournament.
