If you thought UFC was done with CM Punk, you were wrong. Sort of…
Punk won’t be fighting but he will be providing commentary for Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) when they broadcast their Dec. 14 event on UFC Fight Pass. This is according to a report from John Morgan at MMAJunkie.com.
“I can’t wait for this opportunity to call the CFFC fights on UFC Fight Pass,” Punk said in a statement to MMAJunkie. “CFFC has a long history of putting on exciting fights featuring some of the sport’s up-and-coming athletes. This card is going to be a lot of fun, and I’m really excited to have the chance to be a part of it.”
This will be CFFC’s first event on UFC Fight Pass. A press release sent out Wednesday lists UFC veterans such as Anthony Smith, Kimbo Slice, and Paul Felder as CFCC alumni, among others.
CFCC President Rob Haydak spoke highly of Punk in a statement saying, “CM Punk’s knowledge and passion for MMA is incredible, and his charisma and personality make him a perfect fit for this role.”
