UFC Fight Night 119 takes place at the Geraldo Jose De Almeida Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The main event features the return of Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida. The last time Machida was in a UFC cage was in June, 2015 at UFC Fight Night 70 where he was finished in the third round by Yoel Romero. He’ll take on Derek Brunson who got back in the win column by finishing Daniel Kelly at UFC Fight Night 110.
The co-main event takes place in the welterweight division where Demian Maia returns to the cage for the first time since dropping a decision to Tyron Woodley at UFC 214. He steps into the cage against fast rising Colby Covington who enters the fight riding a four-fight win streak.
The main card also includes Pedro Munhoz vs. Rob Font, Francisco Trinaldo vs. Jim Miller (in his final fight), Thiago Santos vs. Jack Hermansson and John Lineker vs. Marlon Vera.
