Lawler explains why he made soul-taking comment about McGregor: “I don’t think he should be mentioned with me”

“He asked me a question and I was like ‘why are you bringing this guy’s name up?’ It kind of irritated me so I just told him what I thought about the situation and his last fight and I don’t think he should be mentioned with me because I’m not like everybody else. ‘I’m a little different.'”

-In an interview with UFC Tonight on Wednesday, UFC 201’s Robbie Lawler explained why he said he’d have stolen Conor McGregor’s soul had they fought.

Penick’s Analysis: Some men openly express their annoyance with people or a certain line of questioning. Robbie Lawler strikes fear in the hearts of men. In all seriousness, Lawler’s a bit of a crazy breed, and it’s shown time and again in the cage, so his style and his heavy hands against McGregor may not have ended well for the Irishman. We may eventually find out at some point in the future, but it’s more than likely their two paths won’t ever cross.
