Another highly intriguing fight has been added to the UFC 202 card in Las Vegas this August, as the organization announced this week that Neil Magny will face Dong Hyun Kim.
The fight pits two top ten welterweights against one another, each hoping to score another significant win in their respective UFC careers.
Magny has been on a 10-1 run in the division dating back to February of 2014, a much stronger run than most would have guessed from him after his 1-2 start in the Octagon. The 28-year-old put a seven fight winning streak together before hitting a wall in the form of Demian Maia, but he’s turned around strong with three more wins, including a come from behind TKO win over Hector Lombard in his most recent fight in March.
He’ll look to extend that run against Kim, who returns to action for the first time since a home country win over Dominic Waters last November. The 34-year-old South Korean is 12-3 with one no contest through his UFC career, and he’s 6-1 over his last seven bouts. He’s stopped four opponents in that stretch, with the sole loss coming to UFC 201 title challenger Tyron Woodley.
UFC 202 hits Las Vegas’ brand new T-Mobile Arena on August 20, headlined by the welterweight rematch between Featherweight Champ Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.
