UFC makes first appearance in Salt Lake City, Utah, on August 6 with UFC Fight Night 92

The UFC is making a second attempt at running a Fight Night event in Salt Lake City, Utah, announcing on Thursday that they’re hitting the Vivint Smart Home Arena on August 6.

The organization tried to run an event at that arena back in August of 2010, then named the EnergySolutions Arena, but that UFC on Versus 2 event was on a Sunday. That led to severely low ticket sales in the lead up to the event, and the UFC moved the event to San Diego instead.

This card will serve as UFC Fight Night 92, and comes just a week after UFC 201 in Atlanta. The UFC now has seven events scheduled in a 45-day span from UFC Fight Night 90 through UFC 202.
