New UFC champ Michael Bisping tells Chris Weidman to beat Luke Rockhold if he wants a title fight

Chris Weidman has tried to inject himself into the conversation to face Michael Bisping next for the UFC Middleweight Championship, and it led to both slinging words towards one another over social media on Thursday.

Penick’s Analysis: Of the three most realistic options, Weidman’s at the bottom of the list. Getting beat up the way he did by Rockhold shouldn’t have led to a scheduled immediate rematch in the first place, and Rockhold by virtue of having a win over Bisping has an edge there. “Jacare” Souza is most likely to be next in line, and there’s an outside chance Yoel Romero gets plugged in there. If they don’t do Rockhold-Weidman next, they can give Rockhold Vitor Belfort now that the title’s not around his waist, and do Weidman-Romero or something else in New York. There are options here at middleweight, and I doubt Weidman gets his shot here next.
