Daley-Lima now headlines Bellator 158 in London, Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos in against Michael Page

A number of changes have been made to next month’s Bellator 158 card in the wake of numerous injuries and the tragically unexpected passing of Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson earlier this week.

The previously announced opponent change for Paul Daley has moved him into the new main event, as Josh Koscheck’s injury set up a more interesting fight with Douglas Lima. Additionally, Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos has stepped in to face Michael “Venom” Page after an injury to Fernando Gonzalez.

The July 16 event will be Bellator’s first ever in London, and each of the main card fights features an Englishman competing.

Daley has won five straight fights into what could be a No. 1 contender fight in Bellator’s welterweight division, most recently knocking out Andy Uhrich in January. Lima returns to action almost a year to the day after he lost that title to current champ Andrey Koreshkov.

Page has been a phenom for Bellator, keeping his undefeated record intact while scoring several highlight-reel victories, including a toe-hold submission over Jeremie Holloway in April. Santos tries to bounce back from a TKO loss at the hands of Saad Awad last month at Bellator 154 in a fight he took on short notice.

The July 16 main card, which will air on Spike, also features Linton Vassell vs. Francis Carmont and Mark Godbeer vs. James Mulheron.
