With Stipe Miocic getting the shot at UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum, former champion Cain Velasquez needs a new opponent for his return from injury, and according to Wednesday’s UFC Tonight program, that may be set.

Per the report, the UFC is targeting a bout between Velasquez and Travis Browne for UFC 200 in July, though nothing is official on that matchup.

Velasquez lost the championship last June to Werdum, returning after a 20-month layoff and getting submitted in the third round of that fight in Mexico City. That snapped a four fight winning streak over just two opponents in Junior dos Santos and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

As for Browne, he’s 2-2 over his last four fights, losing a five round decision to Werdum and getting stopped by Andrei Arlovski while in turn taking out Brendan Schaub and Matt Mitrione.
