A lightweight bout between Evan Dunham and Leonardo Santos is the third fight set for UFC Fight Night 88 in Brazil this May, with the UFC officially announcing the bout this week.
Dunham, 34, is riding a three fight winning streak into the event, coming after a four losses in his previous five fights. The seven-year UFC vet has looked strong in each of his outings since that stretch, defeating Rodrigo Damm, Ross Pearson, and Joe Lauzon in succession.
He now tries to keep that rolling against Santos, who is on a great run of his own in the UFC. The 35-year-old made his UFC debut in 2013 with an 11-3 record, and he’s been unbeaten in his UFC run with a 4-0-1 mark through five fights. He looked impressive in two stoppage wins in 2015, submitting Tony Martin before scoring a shocking upset TKO win over Kevin Lee in December at UFC 194.
This fight joins the previously announced Matt Brown vs. Demian Maia bout under headliners Vitor Belfort and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza for this May 14 event, which will air live on Fox Sports 1.
