The UFC dropped the announcement of Anderson Silva vs. Michael Bisping this week for UFC Fight Night 83 in London, and a few other fights have been added to the event as well.
The UFC officially announced the additions of Teemu Packalen vs. Lukasz Sajewski and Jarjis Danho vs. Daniel Omielanczuk before the holiday weekend, while the UK’s Daily Mail reported that Jimi Manuwa will face Nikita Krylov on the card.
London’s own Manuwa returns to action for the first time since September, where he was demolished by Anthony “Rumble” Johnson at UFC 191. The 17-fight vet has suffered his only two career defeats in his last three bouts, and hopes to right the ship against Krylov. The Ukrainian Krylov had a less than auspicious start to his UFC career, losing two of three fights in really unimpressive fashion. He’s bounced back from there, stopping Cody Donovan, Stanislav Nedkov, and Marcos Rogerio de Lima in the first round.
Both Packalen and Sajewski suffered decision losses in their UFC debuts this summer, the first negative marks against either fighter in their respective careers. They’ll try to get back to the only thing either had known prior to the UFC, winning, in this matchup in London.
6-0 Syrian heavyweight Danho makes his UFC debut against Omielanczuk, who halted a two fight losing skid in his last outing in July with a 48 second TKO over Chris de la Rocha.
The Feb. 27 UFC Fight Pass card, as it currently stands, is below:
