A fight between Rob Font and Patrick Williams is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night 81 lineup in Boston, with the UFC announcing the bout this week.
The 28-year-old Font returns to the cage for the first time since his UFC debut at UFC 175 in July of 2014. Fighting out of Team Sityodtong in Massachusetts, Font has won ten straight fights overall, and looked excellent in that debut with a KO over George Roop.
He returns home to Boston to face Williams, who returned to action in June from a long layoff of his own. The 34-year-old was on the wrong end of a highlight-reel flying knee KO to Chris Beal in his UFC debut, but he pulled off a nice win over Alejandro Perez at UFC 188, choking him out in 23 seconds with a guillotine choke.
UFC Fight Night 81 takes place from the TD Garden on January 17, airing live on Fox Sports 1. The card will be headlined by the Bantamweight Championship bout between T.J. Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz.
