Brock Lesnar has now failed two drug tests in a span of less than two weeks for the same substance, which remains unannounced by Lesnar, the UFC, USADA, or the Nevada Athletic Commission. However, according to a report from Lance Pugmire at the LA Times – citing an “official with knowledge” of the test results – the substance in question is clomiphene, one of two estrogen blockers found in the failed drug test of Jon Jones prior to UFC 200.
Used often as a PED in a post-steroid-cycle regimen, clomiphene has been used as a fertility drug off-label, and is one of the myriad substances for which Chael Sonnen was suspended two years in 2014.
Mark Hunt has chimed in already in the wake of Lesnar’s second failed test, and he’s still quite upset with this latest development.
@arielhelwani u and I know it ain’t no asthma bullshit typical coming from the assholes training camp fucken bunch of cheating scum

Hunt added some incredulous thoughts on the UFC in a brief comment to MMAFighting.com, saying, “I want to know what the UFC is going to do about this s***. Four days and two drug test failures and I have no answers.”
Penick’s Analysis: If that is indeed what Lesnar tested positive for it could be worse for him than it is Jones. In Jones’ case, he’ll have months of clean drug tests from USADA from before and after his UFC 197 bout and in the lead up to the failed June test where, his team could argue, he should have tested positive for steroids if he was actually on them. As clomiphene and other estrogen blockers are used more for cycling off other drugs rather than PEDs themselves, he could have more of a case with a tainted supplement defense. For Lesnar, the same won’t apply, because his late signing with the UFC meant he wasn’t subject to USADA testing until the date he signed because they waived the requirement for fighters coming out of retirement. The belief will be, if this is indeed the substance, that Lesnar was using something else prior to these failed tests, and got caught on the way out. For Hunt, he’s not going to find the satisfaction he’s hoping to find.
