Dana White has not budged on Conor McGregor’s UFC 200 status, and Nate Diaz appears to be following up on his comments Friday that he won’t fight on the card without that fight.
“He’ll fight on 201, 202, 203 – whatever,” White said to TMZ cameras on Monday. “I don’t know when. We’ll get it figured out… I don’t know [why he tweeted he was back on UFC 200]. I don’t know why he did [that]. I still haven’t talked to him. We had a whole press conference about this. I just don’t know how [much] more clear I can make it.”
As for Diaz, he added his own tweet on the situation with the UFC continuing to hold firm on McGregor being off the July 9 card.

Penick’s Analysis: If it were about the press events in Las Vegas last week and only that, it’s such weak reasoning on the UFC’s part not to just put an end to this and get McGregor back on the card. Since they’re going to have to add a new fight in the main event anyway, that means promotion for that bout can’t begin until later this week or sometime next month. Keeping their biggest star off of what they want to be their biggest event just doesn’t make sense, especially when his reasoning for not flying in last week was sound. The entire situation is a mess, and it absolutely seems like there’s more going on behind the scenes from a money standpoint than either side is letting on. None of it makes sense right now, but it seems until something drastic changes their minds, that’s where things sit right now.

I’m not really sure why their pulling Conor is so baffling to you. Clearly they are forking up the millions to out up this show and he’s the one getting paid the millions. The burden is on them so their trying to control their business and not let him donut makes sense. They obviously feel they will m ke their investment back without him dictating whatever he wants. I’m sure if you or I were writing the checks, we’d call the shots too. My apologies for the spelling errors but the phone is not letting me go back and edit.
They would make considerably more millions by having him take part on the card, even with the amount he’d be commanding, that’s what makes it more nonsensical. For as much as he makes himself, the UFC makes that much more on his efforts.
