The still unannounced UFC on Fox 19 event seems to be filling up quickly, as MMAFighting.com reports that the latest fight set for the April 16 event will see Michael Chiesa take on Beneil Dariush.
Chiesa, who won the Ultimate Fighter’s live season back in 2012, is 6-2 overall in his lightweight run in the organization. He’s won four of his last five fights, and most recently scored a submission win over Jim Miller in December.
The 26-year-old Dariush has won six of his seven UFC appearances, and is riding a five fight winning streak into this matchup. The most recent win last August came in by controversial decision over Michael Johnson, but he’d been quite impressive in the previous four before edging that bout.
UFC on Fox 19 does not yet have a set location, but this is the third reported fight for the event, which is also expected to feature Rashad Evans vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Tony Ferguson vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov.
