Let’s get to the rundown.

UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs. Saint-Denis
GOOD- Fares Ziam vs. Matt Frevola
They start off trading some strikes before getting into a clinch
before Frevola gets a takedown. Frevola tries a guillotine before
switching to an armbar. Ziam fights through things with some big right
hands and they’re throwing bombs at each other now. They trade knees
before the first round ends. The second round begins with more
striking as they come at each other from all angles. These guys are hammering each other with big elbows and punches before Ziam gets a
takedown before the second round ends. The third round starts with Ziam using some strikes to set up a takedown. They’re up and down a
few times before Ziam lands a thunderous knee to the face that causes Frevola to drop lifelessly to the mat. Ziam lands a few unnecessary
punches before the referee can jump in to stop the fight nearly three minutes into the third round.
Ziam improves to 16-4 and has won 4 straight fights while Frevola
drops to 11-5-1. Good win for Ziam.

GOOD- Morgan Charriere vs. Gabriel Miranda
They quickly move to fighting on the fence to open things. Miranda
tries for a takedown but Charriere tosses him aside. Charriere is
landing with a lot of his strikes as Miranda keeps trying for a
takedown and they scramble around until the first round ends. The second round begins with some strikes being traded before Charriere
crushes Miranda with a powerful left hand to the jaw that knocks him
out and sends him crashing to the mat. An unnecessary right hand from
Charriere lands before the referee can stop the fight not quite thirty
seconds into the second round.
Charriere improves to 20-10-1 while Miranda drops to 17-7. Good win for Charriere.

GOOD- Kevin Jousset vs. Bryan Battle
Battle goes for a quick takedown but Jousset sends him falling down with a trip. They trade strikes in the clinch before Jousset slams
Battle down for a moment before they trade more strikes and the first
round ends. The second round begins with more strikes being exchanged
at a furious pace. Jousset is hurt and only the cage keeps him
standing. Battle continues his relentless assault and the referee is forced to step in to stop the fight not quite four minutes into the third round.
Battle improves to 11-2 with 1 No Contest while Jousset drops to 10-3
and has his 5 fight winning streak snapped. Good win for Battle.

GOOD- William Gomis vs. Joanderson Brito
They trade some strikes before Brito gets a takedown. They scramble
for a while before standing back up and trading more strikes before
the first round ends. The second round begins with Brito getting an early takedown. They grapple and scramble for a while before returning
to their feet. Brito had a seemingly tight choke locked in but Gomis fought through it. They scramble more and trade kicks before the second round ends. The third round starts with more kicks being traded
and a lot of strikes in general being thrown. There’s also the
ever-present danger of a takedown and submission looming but this very
close fight goes the distance. We go to the judges to render their verdict.
Gomis wins the Split Decision to improve to 14-2 and has won 12 straight fights while Brito drops to 17-4-1 and has his 5 fight
winning streak snapped. Good win for Gomis.

GOOD- Nassourdine Imavov vs. Brendan Allen
Allen gets an early takedown but not much comes of it as he’s doing
just enough to keep from being stood up and the first round ends. The
second round begins with Imavov poking Allen in the eye again. He did
so already in the first round but it wasn’t called by the referee.
Allen tries a few more times for a takedown but Imavov fights him off
and lands on top. Imavov smashes Allen with some big right hands but
Allen explodes up and keeps fighting. Allen tries a few more times for
a takedown and they spend the rest of the second round scrambling
around. The third round starts with more striking exchanges as Allen also tries for some more takedowns. Imavov continues to fight him off
and they’re trading strikes for the rest of this close fight. We go to the judges to render their verdict.
Imavov wins the decision to improve to 15-4 with 1 No Contest and has
a 3 fight winning streak while Allen drops to 24-6 and has his 7 fight winning streak snapped. Good win for Imavov.

GOOD- Renato Moicano vs. Benoit Saint-Denis
They start off trading kicks before Moicano slings Saint-Denis to the mat. Moicano quickly takes Saint-Denis’ back and starts hammering him
with elbows. Moicano continues to hammer Saint-Denis with vicious ground-and-pound and the Frenchman is a bloody mess. Moicano is
relentless and Saint-Denis has the Ric Flair crimson mask special
going on big time as the first round ends. The second round begins with Saint-Denis hurting Moicano with a big left hand. Saint-Denis is
showing incredible toughness as Moicano picks him apart. Saint-Denis
is battling the blood in his eyes and the tremendous swelling of his face but he continues on and the second round ends.
The cageside doctor is brought in to examine Saint-Denis and it
doesn’t take long for him to declare that Saint-Denis is unfit to
continue. His eyes are nearly swollen shut and he looks like a victim in a horror movie. This fight is over.
Moicano improves to 20-5-1 and has won 4 straight fights while
Saint-Denis drops to 13-3 with 1 No Contest. Good win for Moicano.
