Is there anything left for Anderson Silva in MMA?

I don’t think so. I mean, there are some guys he can still beat and assuming he wants to continue, he’ll probably get the chance to show that, but there’s nothing really left for him to do. He’s not winning the title and you don’t have to actually keep fighting in order to keep training. So why else keeping going? To prove he can still do it? Is that really worth it? I don’t think so but to each their own. If he wants to keep fighting, so be it, but now I don’t think the UFC will keep having these older guys hanging around for too much longer.

There is nothing left for Anderson Silva left to do. I wanted to see Silva make a run at the title but his body betrayed him so now he’s just BJ Penn at this point. Put Silva in a couple of fights with some young guys that you want to build as stars and call it a career. Maybe make Silva a special correspondent at Brazil shows or maybe even give him his own show there but he needs to hang those gloves up.

Absolutely not. He’s one of the most accomplished fighters in history and after seeing what has happened to BJ Penn, UFC should do whatever they need to do to prevent that from happening to Silva. Jared Cannonier is a good fighter, but Silva reached such a high status during his championship reign, that he shouldn’t be kept around to put that level of a fighter over. The Vitor Belfort’s and Chael Sonnen’s of the world have all left UFC so those “legends” type of fights aren’t there for him anymore. UFC wouldn’t want to lose him to Bellator or RIZIN, so hopefully, they can find a spot for him in the company outside of the cage.
