The road to crowning a new UFC’s Women’s Featherweight Champion has taken another turn. Megan Anderson has been removed from her scheduled fight against Cris “Cyborg” Justino for the vacant title at UFC 214 on July 29.
According to a report by Brett Okamoto of ESPN, Cyborg is now scheduled to face Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Tonya Evinger at UFC 214 in a title bout. Multiple reports confirm that Anderson is unable to fight due to “personal reasons.”
Shortly after the news broke, Anderson took to social media to explain that her reasons for not fighting at UFC 214 are out of her control.

The UFC Featherweight Title fight at UFC 214 was made after inaugural champion Germaine de Randamie was stripped of the title after refusing to defend her title against Cyborg, citing concerns over prior PED use by Cyborg.
