SATURDAY NEWS DIGEST 12/29: UFC 232 fighter salaries, Lineker added to Brooklyn card

Base salaries announced

The California State Athletic Commission has released the base salaries for fighters on tonight’s UFC 232 card. Jon Jones, Alexander Gustafsson, and Cris Cyborg all lead the pack with $500,000 being reported to go to each. Cyborg’s challenger, Amanda Nunes is slightly behind at $350,000. All four are likely to receive some sort of pay-per-view bonus depending on how the show performs.

Lineker vs. Sandhagen announced

UFC announced that John Lineker will fight Cory Sandhagen at the promotion’s debut on ESPN+ on Jan. 19 from Brooklyn. The show is set to be headlined by Henry Cejudo defending his flyweight championship against TJ Dillashaw.
