UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier and Brock Lesnar had a memorable encounter inside the cage at UFC 226. While it was clearly a planned encounter, it got very real the moment Lesnar shoved Daniel Cormier. Cormier remembers this and doesn’t want anything like that to happen again.
“This time I will advise him to stay out of the octagon, because last time he pushed me across the cage, and I hate that visual,” Cormier said at Wednesday’s scrum following the UFC 230 open workouts (via MMAJunkie). “I hate that that’s the visual that’s going to be shown in the lead-up to the fight. This time I will buckle up my heels into the mat, and I will be ready to push him or smack him upside his head.”
There hasn’t been any announcement regarding Lesnar making an appearance at UFC 230 or not but Lesnar is known to make surprise appearances – particularly when there is a big heavyweight fight.
If Lesnar is to show up at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, he’ll have to travel a ways to get there. Lesnar is scheduled to appear in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Friday for WWE’s Crown Jewel event.
Lesnar also likes to show up at UFC events when his WWE contract is coming due. Lesnar has been working on a short-term deal for much of the year. He has re-entered the USADA testing pool and his physical appearance has changed over the course of this year. He will be eligible to return to UFC early next year.

Lesnar may or may not be there, but Cormier will have to get through Derrick Lewis first.
