Who wins the Ryan Bader vs. Linton Vassell fight and why?

JOHN HARRIS, MMATorch Contributor

I’ll go with Bader by unanimous decision. I just do not think Vassell will be able to handle Bader’s strong grappling. Vasell’s last lost came against Mo Lawal back in 2015, a fighter very similar to Ryan Bader except Bader has better striking. Vassell is a good fighter but just not at the level of Bader.

I’ll go with Bader by decision in a close, tightly-contested fight. I don’t think it’ll be super exciting, but I think Bader wins three rounds and it’s a very tense fight.

SEAN COVINGTON, MMATorch Contributor

I think Ryan Bader has too much experience for Vassell. Bader hasn’t really fought anyone I deem very credible but I give him the edge in this one.

JOSHUA GARCIA, MMATorch Contributor

Ryan Bader will win the fight via decision by out wrestling Vassell and keeping control of the fight.

COLE HENRY, MMATorch Contributor

I have to take Ryan Bader here. I think Linton Vassell is a solid fighter, but I think Bader will probably hold onto his belt for a while. He is the superior wrestler, and probably the better striker as well. Still though, Vassell is tough and…wait for it…anything can happen.
