Conor McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov will get another shot at getting a win in the UFC in August, as the organization announced this week that he’ll take on Chris Avila at UFC 202.
Lobov has lost both of his fights in the UFC, dropping a decision to Ryan Hall in the finals of the McGregor coached Ultimate Fighter 22 in December, then dropping another decision to Alex White in February. He’s now just 11-12 in his career.
Avila makes his UFC debut off a three fight winning streak. 5-2 overall since turning pro in 2014, Avila has stopped four opponents thus far in his career.
UFC 202 hits the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 20, headlined by McGregor trying to avenge his March loss to Nate Diaz in another welterweight bout.
