Brock Lesnar is back.

The UFC officially announced during the UFC 199 broadcast on Saturday night that Lesnar is returning to fight at UFC 200 on July 9 against an as-of-yet undetermined opponent. Lesnar was a surprise tag on the end of a brand new (and excellent) UFC 200 promo, and the official graphic for the card had listed “Brock Lesnar vs. TBD.”

Lesnar, a former Heavyweight Champion in the UFC, hasn’t fought since a first round loss to Alistair Overeem back in December of 2011. He’s spent the last four years back in the WWE, and decided to re-sign with the WWE last year prior to Wrestlemania 31. Now, he’s coming back for at least one more fight after his career was somewhat cut short due diverticulitis.

Penick’s Analysis: This is absolute insanity. It’s not something most would have actually considered as a legitimate possibility, and yet here we are. We still don’t know the opponent, because that’s not set yet, but it’s happening. Brock Lesnar is fighting at UFC 200.
