Beneil Dariush now in against James Vick at UFC 199 after Evan Dunham injury

James Vick has a new opponent for UFC 199 a week after stepping in as an injury replacement himself, as the UFC has announced that he’ll now take on Beneil Dariush on the June 4 card.

Vick replaced an injured Leonardo Santos against Evan Dunham, but an injury to Dunham has brought Dariush into the fold.

The Iranian lightweight hopes to make a quick turnaround after a surprising submission loss to Michael Chiesa at UFC on Fox 19 last month. That snapped a five fight winning streak, and he’s hoping to get back on track.

Vick, meanwhile, hopes to keep his undefeated record intact in this one after five straight wins of his own in the Octagon. The 9-0 competitor defeated Glaico Franca at UFC 197 last month in his most recent appearance.

UFC 199 hits The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., on June 4, headlined by the Middleweight Championship bout between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman.
