A fight between John Makdessi and Mehdi Baghdad is the latest addition to the UFC 199 lineup in June, with the UFC officially announcing the fight this week.
Makdessi’s fought 11 times over a five year run in the UFC, dropping to 6-5 with a decision loss to Yancy Medeiros in his most recent fight in December. The 30-year-old Canadian has had a few highlight reel wins, but he’s lost three of his last four fights.
Baghdad, who competed on last fall’s Ultimate Fighter 22 season, made his debut in January, getting submitted by Chris Wade. That dropped him to 11-4 overall in his 15-fight career.
UFC 199 hits The Forum from Inglewood, Calif., on June 4, headlined by the Middleweight Title rematch between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman.
