The May 29 UFC Fight Night 88 event will be headlined by a major bantamweight fight between Thomas Almeida and Cody Garbrandt, and on Thursday the UFC added another highly significant matchup in the 135 lb. division between Aljamain Sterling and Bryan Caraway.

Sterling, 26, re-signed with the UFC after testing out free agency, and he seems poised to make a title run in the division. Undefeated at 12-0, the currently No. 4 ranked bantamweight has won four fights in the UFC thus far, including two straight submissions over Takeya Mizugaki and Johnny Eduardo.

He’ll meet a fellow top ten fighter in Caraway, who fights for the first time since July of 2015. The No. 8 ranked competitor at 135 lbs., Caraway focused on assisting longtime girlfriend Miesha Tate in capturing the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship earlier this month, and now gets back in the cage himself. A veteran of The Ultimate Fighter’s 14th season, Caraway is 5-2 in the Octagon, with his sole losses coming by decision against one of the top contenders in Raphael Assuncao as well as the aforementioned Mizugaki.

UFC Fight Night 88 will air live on Fox Sports 1, and the currently set lineup can be seen below:

  • Thomas Almeida vs. Cody Garbrandt
  • Renan Barao vs. Jeremy Stephens
  • Tarec Saffiedine vs. Rick Story
