Former UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks will be getting back into action this summer, as MMAFighting.com reports that the UFC is targeting him for a fight with Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 200.

Hendricks was working to get back into a title fight after losing the belt to Robbie Lawler, but after a win over Matt Brown last March, he was derailed in February of this year when he was stopped in the first round by Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.

He’ll find a very tough matchup in his bounce back attempt in Gastelum, who is trying to get himself back on track as well. The Ultimate Fighter season 17 winner has lost two of his last three, with both of those losses coming by split decision against Tyron Woodley and, most recently, Neil Magny. However, the Woodley loss came after a bad weight cut had him hospitalized on fight week, and he had a stronger case for the bout against Magny in a five round main event last November.

UFC 200 hits Las Vegas’ brand new T-Mobile Arena on July 9, and though it’s not yet been announced, it’s expected to be headlined by a rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz.
