UFC Fight Night 87 in Rotterdam adds intriguing lightweight bout between Nick Hein and Jon Tuck

An intriguing lightweight matchup is coming to the UFC Fight Night 87 card in Rotterdam this May, with the UFC announcing this week that Nick Hein will take on Jon Tuck.

Hein, the 31-year-old German competitor, is 3-1 inside the Octagon, and will enter this card on a two-fight winning streak. Both of those wins came in 2015, as he defeated Lukasz Sajewski in Berlin last June before scoring a win over Yusuke Kasuya in Japan.

Tuck, 31 himself, is 3-2 in the UFC, alternating wins and losses since his UFC debut in 2012. Tuck has dropped decisions to talented lightweights in Norman Parke and Kevin Lee, but his last two wins have come in impressive fashion over Jake Lindsey and, most recently, Tae Hyun Bang last May in the Philippines.

The UFC Fight Night 87 event is the organization’s first ever in the Netherlands, and will air live on Fox Sports 1 with a main event between Alistair Overeem and Fox Sports 1.

The currently announced lineup to date is below:

  • Andrei Arlovski vs. Alistair Overeem
  • Antonio Silva vs. Stefan Struve
  • Rashid Magomedov vs. Chris Wade
  • Yan Cabral vs. Reza Madadi
  • Magnus Cedenblad vs. Garreth McLellan
  • Francimar Barroso vs. Nikita Krylov
  • Peter Sobotta vs. Dominic Waters
  • Gunnar Nelson vs. Albert Tumenov
  • Nick Hein vs. Jon Tuck
