It was a breakout night for Darrion Caldwell Friday at Bellator 151, as the highly touted former NCAA standout picked up his biggest career win to date.
Taking on former multi-division champ – and former Olympic hopeful – Joe Warren, Caldwell scored a dominant and devastating victory in the first round. Caldwell not only defeated Warren, he did so after throwing him on his head in a sick suplex before choking him unconscious with a rear naked choke.
That victory moved Caldwell to a perfect 9-0 in his MMA career, which now includes two straight submission wins in their cage.
