UFC 194 Results: Conor McGregor scores stunning 13 second KO over Jose Aldo

By Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

In an absolutely insane ending to a crazy week from the UFC, Conor McGregor knocked Jose Aldo out in 13 seconds to capture the UFC Featherweight Championship at UFC 194 on Saturday night.

The end came on the very first exchange, as Aldo lunged in with a left hand, McGregor countered with a perfect left hand to the jaw, and Aldo dropped to the ground. Aldo actually landed his strike after going unconscious, and McGregor finished it with two hammerfists on the ground.

“Precision beats power, and timing beats speed, and that’s what you saw there,” McGregor said after the bout.

It was an absolutely insane finish to the fight, ending before it ever really began, and McGregor now officially sits atop the featherweight division.

Penick’s Analysis: It’s hard to even react to this one right now. It ended in 13 seconds. Jose Aldo was finished in 13 seconds. Conor McGregor just proved absolutely everything he’s said yet again, and he’s now likely to stake his claim as the biggest star in the organization. There’s no reason to doubt him. How can you after what we just saw?
