Holly Holm’s UFC 193 victory wasn’t something the UFC seemed to have legitimately planned for, and in the wake of her victory there has been a lot more said about Ronda Rousey’s loss than the new Champion’s victory. However, they’re looking to make up for that with a whirlwind media tour for Holm starting later this week.
UFC Vice President of Public Relations Dave Sholler revealed a significant run of media appearances set up for Holm beginning later this week, which will bring her to LA on Friday, New York City on Monday, and a full day Tuesday in Bristol, Conn., at ESPN headquarters.
Friday in LA: Holm with @kevinandbean, @RichEisenShow, @TheHerd, @NFLonFOX, and more…

Penick’s Analysis: Give the UFC full credit here, they may not have fully prepared for the possibility of Holm upsetting Rousey, but they’re putting some weight behind the new Champion to get her the attention she now deserves. She pulled off something historic, and though the understandably scrambled with their top star going down in such brutal fashion, they’re taking advantage of the situation now.
