Kelvin Gastelum has a new opponent for the UFC Fight Night 78 event in Monterrey, Mexico, later this month, as Neil Magny has stepped up on a couple weeks notice for the main event bout on Fox Sports 1.

The UFC announced the new bout on Tuesday following Matt Brown’s injury removal on Monday.

Magny, who has been one of the most active fighters in the UFC over the last couple of years, will fight for the 11th time in less than 25 months with this bout. The welterweight is 8-2 in that stretch, and was scheduled for a bout with Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson on January’s UFC 195 card before accepting this bout. He enters off a short notice win over Erick Silva in August.

Gastelum, the winner of season 17 of The Ultimate Fighter, is heading back to welterweight after a middleweight win over Nate Marquardt on the UFC’s last Mexico card, UFC 188, in June. The 24-year-old was forced up after a bad weight cut prior to a loss to Tyron Woodley in February of this year, but he has been given a second chance to make his statement at 170 lbs.

UFC Fight Night 78 is the UFC’s first ever trip to Monterrey, following two pay-per-view events in Mexico City within the last year. The Nov. 21 card airs live on Fox Sports 1.
