After some back and forth with Daniel Cormier on Twitter this week, the returning Jon Jones made a couple of encouraging comments to fans on Sunday night.
On the note of his return, Jones received a couple of Tweets with one fan wanting to see him come back strong and another expressing disappointment in Jones’ actions. The embattled former UFC Champ then made clear he’s coming back to the cage with a different attitude overall.

Penick’s Analysis: This is the type of self awareness you’d like to see out of Jones after all that’s gone on in the last year. He understands he was in the wrong mindset for a long part of his time on top, and he was doing things that he shouldn’t have been. He’s vowing that it’s behind him, and that he’ll be better in this second run. I think most will believe him for now until he proves otherwise, and hopefully he follows through. Staying out of trouble and simply keeping himself as the best fighter he can be will be great for him, the UFC, and UFC fans in general.
