A lightweight bout between Ross Pearson and Francisco Trinaldo is the latest addition to January’s UFC Fight Night 81 event in Boston, according to a report from the UK Sun.
Following a decision loss to Evan Dunham in Glasgow in July, Pearson got back in the win column last month, defeating Paul Felder by decision at UFC 191. The win was his tenth in 17 UFC bouts since entering out of The Ultimate Fighter’s ninth season.
Trinaldo is riding high on a four-fight winning streak into this event. The 37-year-old is 8-3 overall in his UFC career, and is coming off one of his most impressive wins, taking out the previously unbeaten Chad Laprise by TKO at UFC Fight Night 74.
UFC Fight Night 81 hits the TD Garden on January 17, airing live on Fox Sports 1 with a UFC Bantamweight Championship bout between T.J. Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz in the night’s main event.
