In a way it’s good this situation happened because now I know what I need to do and I’ll make sure I update things correctly going forward. The idea of me skipping out on a test is crazy because I had two scheduled appointments with doctors in Las Vegas. I have no issue with them testing me and they can do it as much as they want. They can take my piss, blood or whatever they want on the spot without question. I’m totally clean and anyone who thinks otherwise can f*** off. Penick’s Analysis: Seems this was an instance of Cerrone not looking into what exactly he was being asked to do until it was too late, and he’s owning up to that. If the app that they’re using is helpful, easy to use, and works, great. Then it’s the responsibility of the fighters to let the test collectors know where they’re going to be. Of course, it’s another thing that could potentially be challenged in regards to their status as “independent contractors,” along with the lost revenue from the Reebok uniform deal, and at some point that’s going to become a contentious issue. For this particular moment, Cerrone’s saying the incident was pretty much on him not knowing – or not caring to realize – he needed to update where he was at if he took a spontaneous trip.
