Does Junior dos Santos have another heavyweight title run in him? What does he need to do to get there?

I think he can get back to a title shot, but I don’t know about winning the title. The guys at the top of the title picture are top-notch and JDS has taken a lot of punishment over the years. It’s heavyweight so never say never, but it doesn’t seem likely. If he wins one more fight, he’s almost guaranteed a title shot. I can’t imagine the UFC not giving him a title shot with another win. As long as he stays healthy JDS has at least one more run in him, I think.

Yes, Junior dos Santos has another strong run as champion left in him. The opponents are there, he has crazy knockout power and if he gets the title I don’t see a ton of guys that could take it from him.

I wrote about this earlier this week a little more in depth, but yes, I think Junior dos Santos does have another title run left in him. I don’t think he’s going to get a chance to make it happen though. With Daniel Cormier on top and Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar waiting in the wings, there’s a long lineup of contenders in front of Dos Santos. The best thing he can do to try and secure a title shot is to keep winning and take fights against top-level opponents. Fighting Francis Ngannou next would be a good start and then potentially a rematch with Stipe Miocic. Winning those two fights would make it very difficult for UFC to deny him a title shot.
